Upcoming Down Time

Decato | 20 Dec 2006 - Well, it’s been like forever since our last update, regretfully. Both Merv and myself had been absolutely caught up with the year end madness at our day jobs. Rest assured, things are settling down again and we’ll be back on track real soon. We will be taking the site offline over this coming weekend just before Christmas to facilitate some exciting changes and updates to the site, as well as to perform forum maintenance. Please check with us on Christmas day (or the day after).

Lots have happen in the tech world since our last update, mergers and new partnerships etc. You have, Voodoo PC + HP, Asus + Gigabyte (sorta, just for mobo division apparently), and the biggest of them all, AMD + ATI. Nvidia 8800GTX is out, which tempted me to burn my wallet… but then again, I’ll wait for the new ATI/AMD DX10 card and see how it performs againsts the 8800GTX. Whatever the outcome, competition should drive the prices down to a less painful state.
