Decato | 30 Oct 2009 - I’ve always like Motorola’s phone, probably because the first cell phone I carry around was a Micro-tac 8200, chunky little fellow. The hardware itself was always attractive… from Startac to Razer. But the only problem, and a rather big one, was always the software. Maybe I’m now too used to dummy phone, where a phone software is written so that even a dummy knows how to use it. That kind of stopped me from buying them and opt for Nokia or Sony Ericksson and even Siemens at one point.
When Android was announced back then, I can’t help but think it would benefit Motorola the most. With their track record of unfriendly software finally coming to an end. Started with Motorola Cliq, which gained some attention, and finally now the DROID.
Using Android 2.0, with Google behind most of the interface, you can almost say this phone has everything you ever wanted. Can’t wait till the GSM version arrives, but for now, please go to
Engadget Preview to check it out. The first video should not be missed as it demonstrate the usefulness of the docking station midway through the video.
