In case you haven’t heard, us Penangites will be getting a monorail, and finally a long overdued second link to the mainland from Batu Maung to Batu Kawan, according to the 9MP (9th Malaysian Plan) announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

Now the question will be, when will it be built and how long are they going to delay it? Remember the Coastal Highway second phase project that was delayed for almost 10 years ? Well, Pak Lah who gives us more confidence by forming the 9MP Action Team, is determined to smoothen out the implementation of the proposed projects across the nation. Our PM has a good track record of anti-corruption, spot checking on government agency, which resulted in quite alot of improvements in government services over the years, so his action does serve as a major confidence booster to the citizens.
